2. Services
HairID is a platform for booking salon appointments and managing personal hair profiles. HairID acts as a technical intermediary only — the Provider does not provide salon services.
• Personal hair profile with photos, measurements and moodboard
• Unique Hair-ID and QR code
• Sharing your hair profile with salons via your HairID code (QR code)
• Appointment booking (intermediary only)
• Premium features (subscription)
A salon can only see a user's hair profile if the user books an appointment with it themselves or gives it their HairID code (by showing their QR code for scanning or telling the salon the code). The HairID code is the user's permission: without it, a salon cannot add an appointment to the user's account. Users should only give their code to salons they want to show their profile to. Users can withdraw this permission from any salon individually at any time (Settings → Privacy → My salons). No salon can see the Hair Score or the hairline and crown photos. What the salon can see after that, and for how long, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
A salon may only show photos of the user's appointments (on Explore and in its portfolio) if the user has allowed this in the settings (“Share my haircuts publicly”). The user's name never appears. The user can switch the permission off at any time; shared posts then go offline and portfolio entries made from their photos are deleted.
3. Registration
Registration is exclusively available to persons aged 16 and over. All information must be accurate, complete and up to date.
4. Subscriptions & Prices
Prices displayed in GBP in the app before purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew. No VAT charged (German small business exemption).
Cancel via Apple App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before renewal.
Cancel via Google Play: Account → Payments & subscriptions, at least 24 hours before renewal.
After cancellation, the plan's features stay unlocked until the end of the period already paid for; after that, the Free plan applies. No data is deleted — anything beyond the Free plan is simply hidden and reappears if you subscribe again. There is no pro-rata refund for a period that has started, unless the app store provides otherwise; refunds are only possible through Apple or Google. Your statutory cancellation right (section 5) is not affected.
Free trials: If a subscription starts with an app store free trial (length shown on the subscription page), it converts automatically into the paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If the app itself offers a free trial (currently 7 days of Premium, once per account), it ends by itself — no subscription and no charge.
5. Cancellation Right (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
As a UK consumer you have a 14-day cancellation right from purchase. You may lose this right if you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge losing the cancellation right before the 14-day period expires — you will be prompted at each purchase.
6. Booking Intermediation
HairID is exclusively an intermediary. The contract for a salon appointment is concluded solely between the customer and the salon. The Provider accepts no liability for salon service quality, no-shows, or cancellations.
7. Consumer Rights Act 2015
Your statutory rights as a UK consumer are not affected by these Terms. If a service provided directly by HairID (not a salon's service) is not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
8. User Obligations
• Provide accurate information
• Upload only photos you have rights to use
• Do not use the platform for unlawful purposes
• Do not carry out automated access
• Attend booked appointments or cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance — after that, only directly with the salon
9. Liability
The Provider is liable for intent and gross negligence. For simple negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages from breach of a material obligation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.
10. Account Deletion
Delete account at any time via Settings. All personal data deleted within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an app store subscription; cancel it with Apple or Google first (section 4).
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
German law applies. Mandatory provisions of UK consumer protection law (including Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) apply additionally to UK users. Jurisdiction: courts of England and Wales, or Berlin, Germany.
12. Dispute Resolution
UK consumers may use certified ADR schemes.
13. Amendments
Changes communicated with 30 days' notice. Continued use = acceptance. October 2026.
